Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never sent to a server.

Does it rename my original files?

Browsers cannot rename files on your computer directly, so you download renamed copies in a ZIP. Your originals stay untouched.

Will the file extension change?

No. Only the name part is changed, so photo.jpg stays a .jpg file.

What happens if two files get the same name?

The tool highlights the duplicates and disables the download until you fix them, for example by adding numbering.

Is there a limit on the number or size of files?

There is no fixed limit, but the ZIP is built in your device's memory. Very large batches (several GB) may be slow on older phones or computers.
